About Ridgeback
The back-office behind 300+ American trucks
We started Ridgeback Haulage Co with one conviction: an owner-operator's time is worth more behind the wheel than on hold with a broker. So we built the office we wished every carrier had.
Our Story
Dispatchers first, everything else follows
Ridgeback began in Nashville in 2022 with four dispatchers and eleven trucks. The model was simple — one dispatcher per carrier, paid only when the carrier gets paid — and it worked. Carriers stayed, fleets grew, and the office grew around them: accounting in year two, authority setup in year three.
Today more than sixty dispatchers, accountants and compliance specialists support 300+ active trucks across 40 states. The rulebook hasn't changed: no forced dispatch, no upfront fees, and a human being who knows your name answers when you call.

What we stand on
Four principles run every load board search, rate call and settlement we touch.
01
Carrier first
Your rate floor is sacred. We walk away from cheap freight instead of talking you into it.
02
Radical transparency
You see every rate confirmation and every fee. Weekly settlements show gross, deductions and net.
03
One point of contact
A single dispatcher owns your operation end to end — no ticket queues, no strangers.
04
Compliance always
Authority, insurance and safety filings stay current, so roadside stops stay boring.
